Mr. Yankowski has an extensive background in local government, leadership, management, and economic development. He served as Interim EL Paso County Administrative leadership positions for a number of local governments and governmental agencies including:
At Regional Building, Mr. Yankowski oversaw an organization that serves eight local governments and 15 school systems, encompassing an area in excess of 2300 square miles with a population in excess of 600,000 and an average annual construction valuation in excess of $2 billion. Pikes Peak Regional Building processes over 60,000 permits annually.
His has extensive management and supervisory experience in budget and finance, investments, employee benefits, (including decision-making authority and plan administrator for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K and 457 retirement plans), information technology, real property, plan review, code development and inspections. .

Mr. Yankowski participated in research and advance preparations with Economic Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce in their successful efforts to bring new jobs to the area through the location or expansion of operations by Bal-Seal Corporation, DPIX, Verizon, Wal Mart Data Center, HP Data Center, Agilent Technologies, ACS and many others.
Mr. Yankowski has developed positive, relationships with community trade groups and professional organizations to improve regional economic development efforts by reducing development approval time and eliminating unnecessary red tape. He has worked to foster effective collaborative relationships with many community organizations including:
