MISSION:  To Serve and Preserve Neighborhoods 

  The mission of CONO is  to serve as a facilitator,
working with governmental agencies, neighbors and organizations to provide planning and information 
that protects and preserves the integrity 

of our neighborhoods and the community as a whole.

The Council of Neighbors and Organizations plays an active roll in many local issues concerning neighborhoods. Here are a few:

Advocacy of public safety priorities

Assistant to develop neighborhood associations

Development of the Colorado Springs Comprehensive Plan and future land use maps and Geologic Constraints map

East/West Mobility Study (Citizens Resource Group)

Education issues as they relate to support of public schools, which are centers for our neighborhoods.

Geologic Hazard Ordinance committee

Mixed-use Neighborhood Development committee

Open space advocacy

Pikes Peak Area Council of Government

Support for individual neighborhood issues

Welcome to our website. It has been designed with the intent to serve you in being more empowered to preserve and enhance your neighborhood. We want www.cscono.org to be a resource for information that can help you in many ways to enhance the quality of life for you, your children, and your children's children.
