  • Sara Vaas

    Executive Director

    Sara Vaas has over 20 years of nonprofit and community development experience. She has served on her neighborhood board, volunteers in her community bringing live music and local events to the neighborhood. She previously worked at CONO until 2019 and returned as Executive Director in 2021.

  • Keith Thompson

    Director of Engagement

    Keith is a resident of Old Colorado City and has lived on the westside of Colorado Springs for most of his life. His professional focus is helping non-profit organizations bring awareness to community inequity and mobilizing individuals to overcome barriers to progress both internationally and locally. If he’s not building relationships in the community, you can be assured he’s on his mountain bike in Red Rock Open Space or North Cheyenne Canyon.

  • Brandon Eldridge

    Neighborhood University Facilitator

    As an Army brat, Brandon relocated to Colorado Springs in 1998 and attended Mitchell High School. Throughout his journey, he has dedicated his efforts to various nonprofits in the area, driven by a deep passion for community and economic development. Brandon's commitment to CONO and Neighborhood University is rooted in his belief in the power of collaboration and proactive initiatives. Embracing the philosophy that "life begins at the end of your comfort zone," Brandon is determined to embark on a fulfilling and adventurous journey.

  • Mariah Osborn

    Marketing and Communications Specialist

    Mariah lives in downtown Colorado Springs, a resident of the area since 2014. She has over 20 years of experience in various professional sectors and is passionate about giving voice to others and fostering innovation. In her off time, she enjoys traveling around the world.

  • Matt Cooney

    GIS Project Manager

    Matt lives in the Divine Redeemer neighborhood and has 10 years of professional GIS (Geographic Information Systems) experience. He has been directing GIS efforts at Colorado College since 2016 where he specializes in teaching and learning, research, and community engagement. He has a passion for maps, cartography, and storytelling through digital resources. He is excited to be part of CONO where his passions can have a broader local impact. When he’s not working, you may run into him atop a 13’er or 14’er, in a stream fishing, or relaxing around the fire in a campground after a long hike.
